The much-awaited film Tehran, starring John Abraham and Manushi Chhillar, has just dropped on Netflix. The geo-political spy movie from Maddock Films started streaming at 6 PM on August 27 and is already creating a massive buzz online.

Inspired by true events, the film promises a gripping story filled with international espionage, deception, and high-stakes action. Even before its release, the trailer had set high expectations, and now that the film is out, fans are flooding social media with their positive first reactions.

A Story Of Betrayal And Survival

Tehran throws viewers into a dark and dangerous world where the lines between friend and foe are blurry. The story follows John Abraham’s character, Rajeev Kumar, a man who finds himself completely alone and in the fight of his life.

The film’s core plot is summed up in one chilling line: “Iran wants to kill him. Israel wants to ditch him. And India has deserted him.” This powerful premise sets up a tense survival story where Rajeev must navigate a complex web of international conspiracies to stay alive. The plot involves interconnected bomb blasts in different countries, making it a true global thriller.

    ‘Goosebumps’ Worthy Dialogues

One of the biggest talking points from the trailer, which would be now expected in the film, is its hard-hitting dialogues. Fans have pointed out from the trailer that certain lines have given them “goosebumps.” The hero’s motivation is made clear when he says, “When a soldier kills another soldier, countries are involved, but when a terrorist kills an innocent, things can get very personal.”

This mix of personal revenge and global politics has resonated strongly with the audience.

Fans Say It ‘Deserved A Theatre Release’

While the film ‘s trailer is getting a huge thumbs-up from viewers, there is one common sentiment being shared online: this movie was big enough for the cinemas. Many fans feel that the film’s grand scale, stunning action sequences, and powerful story deserved a theatrical release.

Comments like, “John Abraham always Rocks. Deserve theatre release,” have flooded Youtube’s comment section. Some viewers have even compared its scale to other major Bollywood action films, with one user writing it was “Much much better than War 2.” This reaction shows just how much the audience is impressed with the quality and production value of Tehran.
